Practical Clothing

This is a lesson for dressing appropriately for the weather and activity. There is a sheet to use with PECS and one to use with included word strips. You need not print all files and pages.

You can pick and choose the paper doll or dolls that best suits your child and the items of clothing that you wish to print. The video below will demonstrate how to do that. Photopea is the best free online option for this, however, it can be done in Canva, with some limitations.

All files are png files so they can be used with a cutting machine. I highly suggest using an offset with your print and cut or use the bleed option when printing but not for cutting. If you adjust the size of one thing you will need to adjust the size of everything, or the clothes and accessories will not fit the dolls.

If you are printing the clothing pages as they are you will need to make sure to choose the fit to page option and print from the folder that says printables. Again, if you adjust the size of one thing you will need to adjust the size of everything, or the clothes and accessories will not fit the dolls.

If you have the ability to do so I recommend choosing all the small accessories you'd like to print and moving them all to one page, Print that page on a transparency sheet. If you'd like you can run, it through the printer twice to darken the colors. I only ever do once as that seems to be dark enough with my printer.  Then laminate the image. It is important to make sure the guides for the printer paper are set exactly to the width if the transparency sheet if running through twice. This will save you from having to fussy cut all the tiny little pieces, but they will still be translucent. Home printers cannot print white so keep that in mind when selecting accessories to print.

I've included dirty clothes in the files for kids that need to work on recognizing when they're clothes get dirty they need to change them.

The PECS we use will be in the download as well. They are a combination of images from vecteezy and ai generated. If you wish to make similar images the style is layered paper style and the font used is playpen sans.
